========================================================

Yayasan Kebajikan Suria JB.

Finally, we have obtained approval from the
Malaysian Government (Ministry of Home Affairs) on 14th September 2012 to run a Foundation to help the Poor, Marginalized, Homeless, *HIV/AIDS and the Disadvantaged in society.

Indeed, the Founding Chairperson (now Secretary), James Ho, have been applying to form the Foundation as an individual, for the past 6 years since 2006. He have been doing a lot of charity work on his own for the past 20 years since he joined Keck Seng (Malaysia) Berhad(a public-listed company on the Main Board of the Malaysian Stock Exchange) in Johor, Malaysia.

Some of the Charity works were Tsunami Relief Project in Acheh, Indonesia 2005, Kota Tinggi Flood Relief  in Johor 2006, collecting funds for Cancer patients, Counselling in Hospitals, etc to prove to the Government that he was genuine.  After a background check of his records by the Government,  the formation of the Foundation was finally approved on 14th Sept 2012.

James Ho was a Cancer survivor himself and thus has a particular soft spot for Cancer patients. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2002, was treated and given a clean bill of health in 2005.

Yayasan Kebajikan Suria JB is an extremely important mission he is now engaging in - for he believes that when he dies, everything that he is doing now will die with him. But with the formation of the Foundation, it shall carry on the work to help the Poor, Homeless, Marginalized, HIV/AIDS and the Disadvantaged in society. He cannot bring along what he had accumulated here on earth and by setting up the Foundation, he sincerely hopes the work that he and his friends ARE DOING RIGHT NOW can be continued by the future generations.

What he thinks he can bring along to wherever he is going (he doesn't really know where he is going, to be honest) is WHAT HE HAD DONE HERE ON EARTH. We all have to leave everything behind including our loved ones, our titles, our positions, our posts, our monies, our properties, and everything OURS.

The Foundation is NOT FOR HIM, NOT FOR YOU but for THEM (the people who needs our help, care and love) when we are gone.   We have 51 members as of 23th December 2015 and a Committee manages the Foundation with great transparency and the Annual Accounts submitted to the Malaysian Government under the Registrar of Societies(RoS).

Joining fee is RM100.00 ( Lifelong Membership) and RM50.00 for yearly membership subscription.

We seek your good self in assisting us to obtain funds for the running of the Foundation and we appreciate your strong and continuous support.

All the above cases and many more are the few we have been supporting financially for years before and after the formation of the Foundation.  We are also providing aid to Homeless people and basically, anyone needing help in any circumstances.

We are also donating to Mercy Malaysia, UNICEF, Children Homes, Salvation Army, Malaysian Association for the Blind, The Nasi Lemak Project(TNLP SOCIAL ENTERPRISE), Cases of heart/liver patients in newspapers, etc  and other organisations for natural disaster(Earthquakes, Typhoons, Floods) as and when the need arises.

Apart from financial supports, we are also lending a listening ear, some basic counselling which involves a lot of our time, efforts and energy. Before setting up the Foundation,  funds were raised through personal donations from friends and supporters that are managed by James Ho personally.

We hope to do more when the funds are forthcoming. Companies are welcome to be part of our efforts in reaching out to more people in future.

Over the last 20 years or so, we had collected and distributed approximately RM750,000.00 before the Foundation was formed.

As we are registered with the Registrar of Societies (RoS), we have to keep a monthly debit and credit account as required by Law since November 2012 and the accounts has to be submitted and audited by the Malaysian Government yearly.

At time of writing, we have just submitted our 2nd year accounts, after which we shall be submitting our application for tax exemption to the Government.

Raising funds through charity dinners, seeking for funds through personal appeals to individuals and companies are now in the pipeline.

We are targeting a sum of RM350,000.00 to enable us to assist more people. I am confident this is possible with your strong support.

Let us make this a REALITY and leave behind a LEGACY.
